Waukesha Dog Run

I have just recently taken my 2 german shepherds (ok, one may look like a retriever but I swear IS a shepherd) to this park along with the kids. I am not from the area and in my state they are allowed at the city parks still off leash so this was the only place to take them to relieve the built up puppy energy. I found that (one) my dogs were much better than I thought they would be around others after almost never being around another dog or person for that matter, (two) they loved the socialization but did not know how to do it at first, (three) the people were great and understanding when my dogs did not do the appropriate thing (and of course I stopped them right away), and (four) I almost really wanted to socialize myself because the people were great and I saw a few other shepherd owners there I wanted to talk to. This was a new experience for me and my dogs, so I would love to be able to thank anyone and everyone there that day (I believe the 4th of January) for being so friendly and welcoming. However to the owner of the great dane, I think you did permenant damage to the ego of my male shepherd, he has never seen a dog bigger than him :))

This is a lovely park spring, summer, fall & winter. No leash need if your dog is well behaved.
