The off leash area is next to the boat launch off Hwy 19 on the west side of the lake, with swimming access. The park also has benches and trails. All dogs using the 6 city parks, 5 Dane County parks, the Middleton park or Sun Prairie park must have a dog park tag along with a dog license.

Don't come here if your dog needs a fence. Also the beach area is pretty pitiful.

I only walked through some of the trails, where you HAVE to have your pups on a leash, but the dog part is nice. There is lake access (very muddy, and frequented by dead fish) and trails in the field. If you go more towards the boat launch, there is a dock the pups can jump on and off where it is less muddy. There are many benches to take a seat and let the dogs run around. Overall, loved it, and so did my two "kids".

Good park for wide open running & swimming

The off leash area at Indian lake is great for wide open running, chasing the ball and frisbee. The other thing we really like about this park is the swimming area for the dogs. Our Labrador is in heaven chasing the ball into the water here. Scenic Wisconsin farmland and forest surrounds the park.
