Opened Oct 4, 2008. This dog park has a separate small dog area, grass turf, benches, water spigot, and pine and shade trees. Volunteers and a $35,000 grant from Sherwood Trust made this dog park possible.

Shooting

There was an altercation at this dog park in mid October 2011. And an older man was verbally abusing a woman and physically abusive to her dog. A young man intervened after an altercation shot the older man in the leg. The young man was released from custody after questioning at the police station.

Safe place to take your dogs

It's so nice to have a safe place to take my dogs. They get very excited when we start getting close. Still waiting for the water feature to be put in and one of the gates is really hard to get into, but definitely the best place to take our dogs in the area!

For the size, it is beautiful. Love the trees. Excellent separate small dog area. Parking is limited; minor inconveniences: need port-a-let inside or at park; no water yet; downhill gate difficult to open.
