Park Improvements !!

The City of Seattle has invested in this park over the last year and it shows! Be ready for the steps in and out. Once you're in the running and playing area you'll dogs will have a blast. Well behaved dogs and owners who care. There's still work to do to make it even better and volunteers are encouraged to call the steward and offer to lend a hand. This is my 2 running dogs favorite park in Seattle! The City could do a little more "yard work", but still rates high.

Large space, incredible views, but underused

The Dog park entrance is about 400 ft north of the parking lot. Just follow the sidewalk north up from the parking lot.

This is a big dog park with unique views of downtown, the stadiums, the international district. Decent steps easily wind down a steep hill, but be prepared to walk back up. Or be cautious if it has been raining.

The park seems under-utilized, however we ran into a dog owner that uses the park everyday. There is some garbage laying around because of transients nearby. I would recommend daytime use and/or coming with a friend or a very big dog. It is maintained regularly by the park and an active group of volunteers. It would be wonderful to see this park flourish and become used more often.
