Grassy play area with squirrel filled trees
4

This fully fenced park had lots of room to run and play. There is a nice gravelly area with benches. Also, there was a gravelly area with agility equipment. The trees are large and well maintained and, as mentioned in the title, full of squirrels for our pups to follow. Luckily, the squirrels were smart enough to stay in the trees. The only downside was a large muddy area with standing water. It is impossible for us to keep our pups our of water, so we had muddy dogs within ten minutes. Overall though, the park was nice and well maintained.

more for kids than dogs

This park was just a fenced in field right off the main road. There is agility equipment but its tiny and kids were playing all over it. No running water or real poop bags provided. Also the clientele was less than desirable. Everyone was smoking and letting their kids run around without jackets-- it's cold out! I felt very uncomfortable and will not be returning.

Dogs love it!

Dogs love it! No water though make sure to bring some for your pooch! Lots of flat land though cant lose your pup. Everyone is friendly. Grass is pretty long but the dogs love it. There is even a shy dog area.

I love the agility equipment

We've been using the park for a while and yes it was very muddy, but my dogs didn't seem to mind. What they really love now is the agility equipment from Dog-On-It-Parks. I'm really surprised at how sturdy the equipment is and even on the wettest, muddiest days (and we have a lot of them here in WA), my dogs still have traction running through the tunnel. We love this dog park and I just wish there were more in the area with agility components. Thanks to both the county and Dog-On-It for improving our dog park!

Directions

It would be great if there were some sort of directions listed on this website. Many people are not sure of which exit to take to get to this park. It's a bit confusing.

Improvements to Cavalero Hill Dog Park
4

This dog park had a bad reputation for being very muddy, but County Parks made some very significant improvements in November 2010 by re-grading the low spots and bringing in some clean fill and some grass seed. The really big addition was several pieces of high quality dog park agility equipment donated by local Everett company Dog-ON-It-Parks. Look for a S-Tunnel, a series of jumps called Hound Hurdles, a 2-level Jump wall, a 5-piece agility walk disk set, a set of hound hoops, and a really nice bench with dog paws in the backrest. This is extremely durable equipment intended for public parks, and should last a long time. Thank you Dog-ON-It-Parks!
