Wonderful park

We stopped during a long drive and it was great. Very large, grass, clean. Really a nice park. Fairly easy on and off the freeway.

I have visited all the dog parks in the valley and this one is by far our favorite! It's a hidden gem! My dogs absolutely LOVE this place! During the summer, other dogs are there usually before 10am and after 7pm. During the winter it's hit and miss, depends on the weather. Us humans love the three picnic tables there, plenty of shade and everyone is always friendly!! There is a water foutain for both dogs and humans, poop bags and garbages. The only thing I wish for is a paved path that went around the perimeter on the INSIDE of the fenced area.

We were just driving through on a road trip and found this gem. It's a beautiful park to walk and there is a section design elated for dogs off-leash. The area is covered with lush grass and comes equipped with a water fountain, poop bags, and benches for the humans. Friendly dogs and plenty of room to run around. I will say the description says its 3 acres, but I think this is the entire park. The dog portion is maybe a half acre, but still great for your four-legged friend. Would rate 5 stars but there is not hose to clean your dog if they like playing in mud puddles like mine does (so bring a towel).

Recent Construction issues

This is still a great dog park, however the recent construction of the sprinkler system has left the walkways torn up, and walking around is VERY dificult if you're not very able-bodied - there's a lot of mud where the sidewalk should be, hopefully this will be remedied in the spring.
The restrooms are closed generally from Sep-May, and in poor condition even when they are open, maybe we'll get lucky and someday those will be renovated also next spring.

I discovered this dog park after doing an online search. It is nearly impossible to see from Redwood Road and is situated to the north of the Agricultural building. This dog park is absolutely the best that I have visited.A lovely large fenced grass area with shade trees and picnic tables. This park is comfortable for the dog owners as well.I have taken my pitbull,Trisha,to this park several times this past summer.I have found the dog owners to be very friendly and welcoming and delightful to visit with. The dogs have all been well-behaved and clearly love to be with each other. The park is very clean and well maintained. I live in Bountiful and don't mind driving to Salt Lake because I know that we both will have an enjoyable time.My only regret is that I didn't discover this park sooner!

Great find!

I just discovered this park tonight while out walking my dog. I passed two other dog owners who asked if that was where we were going, so we decided to go check it out. What a wonderful find! The park is completely fenced with a double gate to keep the dogs from slipping out, and it's really big so there's lots of room for the dogs to run around. There were about 10 other dogs there with their owners, and everyone was talking to each other and acting very friendly and welcoming. There were some benches and picnic tables, and a water fountain for people and dogs (although it was shut off for the winter). I would definitely recommend this park to any other dog owners in the neighborhood.

I think folks are just finding out about this park, as it just opened in April 2010, and I doubt it was highly publized. It depends on what time of day, and also what day you come to the park - I live in the neighborhood, and am meeting quite a few great dogs and their owners there. So, if you live close by, it's a great place to visit, and it sits right along the Jordan River Parkway trail.
It IS a pretty good sized dog park, compared to some of the other ones close by, has benches and water for the dogs to drink, and a lot of green area.

I decided to check out this park with my two puppies. I was very disappointed in it. I was there in the middle of the afternoon and did not see one dog. The area just looks like a normal park in a neighbor hood where you could just take your dog of the leash if there was no one around(but way smaller). So why not just stay close to home and visit a park close by instead of driving to this place?
