it is truly a park for dogs

This is truly a park for dogs, not just a yard for them to run around. There are many paths to explore, and a stream that's clean, and a few spots has beaver dam/pond for dog to swim in. Thanks to the city and the volunteers for making this happen.

Parley's Way

I took my two puppies to Parley's Way last week. They loved it and so did my husband and I. There was so much room for them to run and play and so many dogs to play with. When we got to the end of the trail, they were able to swim and play in the little pond with other dogs. We will be visiting there again soon. I highly recommend this place. *****

We love this park

The entry is a little steep and slippery in the Winter but the wide open off-leash area in phenominal. Bassets are not water dogs but she loves to romp with all the others dogs because she is a hound and therefore a pack animal. My girlfriend's Labs are in the water constantly. Good thing there's a dog wash on the way home. The best part of all is the entry is covered by our tax dollars, what a concept! Please use the provided bags and drop stations to pick up after your dogs and keep the park open to the general public. Thank you Salt Lake City

I took my dog here for the first time last night and he had a blast! I was a little nervous at first because he's never been off leash before but shouldn't have worried a bit. Can't wait until later in the year when everything's in bloom. It's not only a great place for dogs but their human friends as well. I sure hope the off leash privileges aren't taken away because of a few "oblivious to the rules" individuals!

A GREAT, safe place to walk

A GREAT, safe place to walk for both humans and dogs! A crossroads, where people who might not otherwise meet, have the opportunity to cross paths because of something they have in common, a LOVE for nature and outdoors, as well as dogs. A great social outlet and place where both human and dog can get exercise and socialize. More parks of this type are needed, not only in SLC, but country wide!

We've been taking our dogs to this park for several years now. Each time there's always something new to see and definitely new dogs all the time. Round trip is roughly 2.5 miles. The terrain is stable and moderate on the main paths and 99% of the dogs you find here are well mannered and friendly.

The only complaint; the leash rule is from the top of the entrance to the bottom of the hill, most people don't follow it, maybe it just doesn†t apply to them? Should there be an incident along the way down the hill, the dog(s) could suffer from a steep fall because there's no "out" other than to run straight ahead or behind.

All in all, this is one of the best.
