Hard to find, but very pleasant

We were a little perplexed at first. There are no signs as to where the off leash area is. We drove around looking, but only found it by taking the dogs for an on leash walk until we found it. It is unfenced, but has water on 3 sides so is semi protected. Most of the last side does have a fence, but there is a small portion open to a deserted side street. Our dogs were fine, but if you have a runner you might need to leave them on leash. It's very shady, and the water makes it pleasant, even on the hot summer day we visited. There is a close playground for kids and a nearby pool and lake access for swimming-- you can even rent kayaks and paddle boards within walking distance.

no dog park

Drove over to this supposed dog park and found nothing but an old housing area and half dirt streets. Nothing there don't waste your time.

EDITOR COMMENT: I think you may have gone to the wrong location. The city website has a nice grassy picture of the park. This is an unfenced area of the park. Here is the city website for some pictures of the park.
