My Favorite

I have a blog with my five favorite dog parks in the area with pros and cons...
http://brinkleyandbecca.blogspot.com/

Overall, this park is my favorite since there are trails to walk unleashed pets, a pond for dogs to fetch in along with the typical dog park. I live in Dallas and it's worth the drive.

overall great dog park, but so many people break the rules.

overall, my experiences here have been really good and i come here often, but it really bothers me to see so many people breaking the rules... they are in place for a reason.
1. I have seen both female dogs in heat and unaltered male dogs; both are prohibited
2. people bringing food in and then acting shocked that dogs are bothering them
3. my dog weighs 12 pounds and is shy of large dogs, which is why we go in the small dog park. but so many times people with big dogs (like over 50 pounds) will come and when i look concerned they tell me "oh, he's nice, he loves little dogs blah blah blah" ok? i don't care. the sign says 30 pounds and under. get out.
4. children. not so much in the little dog park, but i see people bring strollers in the big dog park.
5. and finally, if your dog is AGRESSIVE, there is no reason to bring it to the dog park. and even less reason to have it walking in/out without a leash on, growling at my tiny, submissive dog.

Love this park! It is very clean and well kept. I take my dog here every weekend and he loves it.

This park is the most disgusting Huck and I have explored. Actual the park itself isn't nearly as bad as the side walk up to the park. Being a responsible pet owner means picking up after them no matter where they take care of business. Also I felt the park's location leaves it a little to isolated, I would not be comfortable going there with just my puppy. Huck agrees two paws down.

We have been going here for about a year now. Love it!! It's big and always in pretty good shape. They have a pond and some trails too that we take our dogs out to walk on. The dogs are allowed in the pond (I saw the last review was asking about that). Highly recommend this dog park.

This park is great. Plenty of shade in the summer and the stock pond is always full so my dog can swim to cool off. Clean and always has bags for poo pick up.

EDITOR COMMENT: We have not confirmed that dogs are allowed to swim in the pond. Let us know if you have any more info.

This was a welcome spot for a romp, though we did it just at dawn on a summer day, before the temperatures got into the 100's. It's nicely maintained, and part of a much larger park system, which is a plus.

Great place for dogs!! Three different spots: Small, Large and aggressive areas. There is also a non fenced in area that has a little tank (pond). There are also some trails you can take your dog on a walk around. And it is near two large universities.. so yes there are the ladies!
