Tipps Canine Hollow (at Northfield Park)

The park is big enough for you to run your dog either with other dogs or by themselves. I didn't like the doggie daycare that shared a fence with the dog park because the dogs were just left outside to bark and run back and forth along the fence with dogs inside the park. The trees are nice and shady and the large rocks would come in handy if you felt like sitting. The grounds are at least half dirt and on a windy day, it was hard to shield yourself from the blowing sand. A grassier park would be nice.

Love this place! Clean, areas for small and large dogs, nice people. HIGHLY recommended for dog lovers and their dogs.

For smaller dogs, there is a wooded area, an open area, water fountain for them and their owners, and places for owners to sit. Big dogs area doesn't have a wooded area but there are trees over there. Washing area is nice and clean. Always stocked baggies and great parking. There are 2 entrances each with prep sections before getting all the way in. The people here are really good about keeping it shoe friendly, but like everywhere, keep your eyes out.

I don't believe in rating the park by what crazy person incident you ran into. That isn't fair to the park. This place is very safe.

i have a 25lb oripei (sharpei-Pug) and he is the toughest little machine I've ever come to known. this dog park is a great park for the simple fact that there is always a ton of dogs for him to play with and they have so much land to use. The people that come to the dog park are more than friendly sometimes and is always a great atmosphere but as humans are dogs can get touchy too and there are the occasional sprawls between certain dogs that are usually because of the dogs themselves not of the breeds, but this is a normal thing to come in contact with at a dog parks because they are good to rehabilitate dogs to how they used to be, playful, loving, and friendly under the correct supervision so small children are not advised but there are two parks inside the park one for small and another for big and my ori-pei is able to go back and forth depending on the crowds in the park so its really great for him and us cause he gets to run around and have the time of his life and hats what its for.

The Park itself looked Great, however it just takes one person to ruin somebody's time. There was a Woman who had at least 4 dogs (I think it was six altogether) It was obvious that she was a frequent visitor and that the other people knew her. Her dogs were aggressive, chasing my dog and backing her into the fence. They surrounded her, growling and knipping at her. The Woman's response was just to laugh and try to say that they are just playing. This was not playful behavior, it was pack mentality looking to attack. She had no control over her animals. I was extremely upset holding my dog, while she was shaking in my arms. They chased her twice before I was able to leave. I called the number provided to complain and was told that they do not enforce any of the rules and that all I could do was ask her to leave. Let me say one last thing and tell you that I have a Chow Chow, so I have to admit I'm luckier than some. In a true fight my dog would not have been killed, but she is very sweet and has never growled at another dog and I would like to keep it that way. So unless you have a tough dog that can take on four to six other dogs, I would not recommend this place due to the fact that she IS a frequent visitor that refuses to leave. Also remember that the only enforcement is calling the police....

Nice place! My little guy had a great time running with his new buds, and the people were all very welcoming and informative.

We moved here a week ago and immediatly searched for a dog park. Our fur child had so much fun running with his new friends. The pet parents were all very friendly and were wonderful about picking up poo. Very clean park!
