People have turned a beached area into a doggie beach. There is also hiking in this wooded park. Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash according to the Friends of Wissahickon (or a $300 fine by Fairmount Park).
Directions: When you park at the bottom of Kitchens Lane take the path to the left past the wooden gate, down a dirt/rocky hill and over a stone bridge and to the left right past the bridge is the doggie beach.
