I enjoy the dog park and seeing the saints until some woman and her husband talk poopoo on people the second they leave and smile when they show up.
She is wonderful and cares so much about all dogs. So many jerks show up with no desire to watch their dogs or care at all about other people's dogs. "crazy saint lady" is a blessing. Funny no one talks about the people who show up with intact dogs or let their dogs start fights. Btw.. Crazy saint lady has saved so many dogs from being killed and has helped others train their dogs in order for the dog not to get dumped at the SPCA. So easy for someone to write a negative comment but I bet that same person has never done anything kind or giving toward charity let alone helped rescue and care for over 100's of loving dogs.
My dog and I are regular visitors of this park (every day in the summer and usually for around 3 hours at a time). I have made several friends with the owners, one of which is the "Crazy Saint Lady". She does keep everyone in check, which is something that she is known for and I think it's great. You see, when she's not there I have seen many fights break out and even owners who don't do anything when there dog is attacking. This is a shame. I wish everone had to take a class in dog behavior before coming to the dog park. But this is the risk I take each and every day to keep my dog happy, healthy and socialized. We love the dog park and the saint bernards!
Nice place to visit but not too enjoyable when you are in the company of the St. Bernard lady. She totally controls the big dog area with her 8 or 9 St. Bernard dogs.
This is the first dog park I took my dog to, it's a good park although the mud problem is a little issue. Bring your own water and bowls. They do have bags there and benches.
Great large fenced in area for large and small dogs. People are friendly and most people control their dogs well. Only downside is that it gets very muddy after it has rained so be prepared to bath your dog after your visit as they are caked with mud after a vist when it has rained!!!
I live on Limekiln... about equal distance between the Mondauk and Horsham dog parks. This is the first one I discovered. It was great. The people are very nice and there's plenty of room for the dogs to run around. The best part is the creek! The water is clear and dogs love playing in it, although it's not too deep.
I recently discovered the Horsham dog park and... Well, it's great. Much bigger and there's a creek there too (although it's super muddy and not too clear). I'll still take my dog to Mondauk, because I've made friends there with some other owner. However, I'll definitely switch it up every now and again and take him to Horsham every now and again.
Nice dogs, nice people. Bring your own water and bowls. Can get muddy.
