Not a huge place for exercise but great for socializing your pet! Bring coffee and relax on one of the picnic tables.

Only down side is gravel but does not get too messy.

First Dog Death

April 1, 2010 - a Yorkshire terrier-Chihuahua (12 lb) named Presley was killed by an un-neutered mastiff (140 lb). This is the first reported fatality in Mecklenburg County ever; the first dog park in the area opened 8 years ago. The owner of the mastiff gave a false phone number and fled. Many serious dog park injuries and deaths are from small dogs and large dogs being in the same section of the park because of the predator/prey mentality. See the full story here.

Parking

It's tricky to find this park if you aren't familiar with Charlotte. And there is no dedicated parking for the park that I could find. I parked on the street by apartment complexes and walked about half a mile to get to the park.

Nice little park

On a trip through 8 states, we stopped at this park for a nice run. The people there were friendly, and the park was big enough for my pug girls to run. They had a great time with some other dogs and really tired themselves out for the rest of the travel day.
