My 8 month old shepherd and I love this park! It is large, very nice, spacious, with lots of dog toys, water bowls, and even an agility course for them to play on! There are also benches for humans to sit on, and a gazebo with a picnic table in it. There are usually about 10-15 dogs there, and my little guy loves it.

I just tried to go on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and there were more than 50 dogs there!!! Awesome, right? dog party!

Well it would have been great, except we werent even through the gate when a small vicious (pit mix?) dog attacked my shepherd on his neck, and it took that dogs owner to pull him off, I was scared out of my mind. We left, and I was honestly surprised that no one spoke out to me, apologized?, or asked that man to leave. Everyone just stared and went back to what they were doing.

In a perfect world, people would only bring their dogs to dog parks if they GOT ALONG with other dogs, and did not attack them. Unfortunately, one bad egg can ruin it for the whole bunch... and I'm way confused about that whole situation. I wish my sweet boy got to join that party...

My dogs love it, Most dogs get along but just like people there is always some that don't . Most people are very friendly. I go about 5 times a week. I live in Raymond which has a dog park that no one goes to because it is in the middle of the woods.

try being nice and smile

I've been to this park about 10 times now most times everyone is very nice along with their dogs. The past two times now, i've run into two people that don't know how to respect someone else. today was the second this guy mid 20's to early 30's asked what kind of dog and when i told him and walked away my child over heard him say that people that dont no what kind of dog they have should not have one and said should do research first. Well to this guy if you have nothng nice to say say nothing. And for ur info I took a lot of time searching the dog I own and I'm very proud I did.its the best thing I could of done I hope you see this and realize I'm talking about you.because my research had everything to do with my kids and Yes there is such a dog as the one i have and you need to be more alert of what you say. ur the one that if ur not sure if there is such a dog just keep those thoughts to urself go home and look it up.

keep negitive thought to self next time!!!

but my kids and i do think the park is great and other than the two past people i've had to deal with we all like it! Just be nice and if not sure say nothing. ears are everywere and words hurt.

Love this Dog Park

We are one of those Mass people that come to Derry for the dog park. We have two small dogs and they love going to the park. It is an easy drive for us but we can not go to the park as often as the dogs would like. The people for the most part are very responsible. Most of the dogs get along well. There is the occasional stressful moment but the owners are good about calming their dog or leaving if they can not reduce their dog's stress. We love the park and hope that you Derrians do not mind if we visit once a week. We donate each visit. Heres to hoping Haverhil will put in a dog park.

I live right down the road from the Derry Dog Park and love taking my dog there at least a couple times a week. I agree that more towns & cities need to start thier own park as I often feel that the Derry Park is taken advantage of by people from surrounding towns and even Mass. Most everyone is very friendly except for the occasional "rough" dog that comes through. Overall an AWESOME park, please help keep it clean!

grateful

As a Resident and registered dog owner of the city of Manchester. I would like to state that I am grateful to the town of Derry, NH and all those involved in starting up and continuing to maintain the Derry Dog Park which I along with my dogs enjoy frequenting. As long as the Mayor and Aldermen of the city of Manchester continue to not realize the dire need of having a Manchester dog park, I will continue to visit the town of Derry in which I am sure that my stops at local businesses to purchase goods and services helps, even slightly, in today†s economy.
Thanks again to the town of Derry, NH. AND to those who make and break the decisions in Manchester, i.e. Board of Mayor & Alderman â€Å"Wake Up† and get something going, it†s not rocket science. Just follow our neighbor town, Derry†s direction.

I was told by another owner

I was told by another owner that if I let her dog out, because I had a tough time closing the gate, that I would have to catch her dog. She'll make me go and catch her dog. That bothered me some because one of the first rules is to not leave your dog alone in the park. But on the other hand my dogs had soooo much fun playing with the other dogs!!!!!

Great dog park!

It is free! The park is very nice, clean, and large. There are tunnels, etc. for dogs to play on. There is also a new pool. It's never that crowded and everyone that goes there is really nice.
