Police Memorial Dog Park

a few problems I have with the park is that the kids at the skate park are pigs! they dont clean up after themselves and are the only ones who makes the messes there. Some dog owners do not keep their dogs on leashes and let them run loose. I am guilty as well, but I only let them loose when no one else is around. If I see another dog, I leash mine, so the other owners should do the same. Many dog owners do not pick up their own feces so there can sometimes be a lot of poo around the area..

It is usually a rather clean park, and normally quiet. The grass is better maintained than most. As for the above comments, well, some dog people just are dramatic.

Nice dog park but watch out for the brown pitbull in the small dog area. I asked the owner to take her 80# pitbull with stitches all over it from being in a dog fight to go to the large dog area. She would NOT leave. I was too afraid to put my dog in with this pitbull and had nowhere to exercise my dog. But it is a very nice dog park when the pitbull is not in the small dog area .

I was present when the marshal arrived that day. He found out that this crazy pit bull lady was indeed lying to him about the other dog. He asked us (who were just watching) if that was the "German Shepherd", clearly she lied to him to reverse the story. Bottom line is she was kicked out! He even gave his name & number for any future troubles this lady would create. It is evident she is trouble the way she behaves and talks.
I do hope they will call the very helpful marshal, he can straighten things out.
Pit bulls should never mingle in the small dog area, period!

I have met this women and her dogs and you sound really ignorant. What you fail to mention is that this "mean" pit bull is over 8 years old and is very sweet. She goes into the little dog park because she also has a 10 pound dog. He doesn't bother anyone and always asks if it is okay to bring her big dog in. I also know who you and your friends are and I have heard you scream at her and her little dog. I was there that day when animal control was there and he gave us his card and said you very over dramatic. Call animal control all you want because every time you do I will because your dog is over the weight limit.

This park is great for all dogs. The so called nasty pit bull lady is very nice + always asks if she should leave . Her dog is very calm much better behaved then the people that posted the complaint. Some people should think calling the marshal is the answer. I hope this person is aware that her dog exceeds the weight limit I will be watching; I have animal controls numbers ready.

Thank you to the very nice park marshall who took care of the nasty pit bull lady. She was so obnoxious and rude that she would not have left the small dog area until the park marshall made her. There are signs clearly posted 25 lbs. and under! Now, small dog owners can come back here and feel safe!

Nasty little place! Small dog section is tiny and some of the people that go there think they own it! They have people bringing pitbulls and other large dogs into the little dog area. We quit going when the nasty woman with a pitbull got mad when we shooed her pit away from our 5 pound dog.

a group of people come to this park on a regular basis. they bring very large dogs into the small (25lbs and under)park.dont bother calling animal control that's just a suggestion.as the budget tightens we can expect these parks to close and the lazy animal control positions eliminated.no big loss.

This dog park was right up the street from me. Perfect for the 89129 crowd this far north. It was very clean and spacious. The doggy water fountains were great to have since your pup will probably get tired from running.

Three runs, one for small dogs and 2 for large. The runs are small but unlike many other parks the grass isn't beaten up and the runs are relatively free of poop. The drawbacks are both the water fountain and the bench are within the double gate area, not inside the park. There is no covered area at all and the trash can is completely outside the fence.

There are dog drinking fountains in running pens. A children's skate board rink to the north of the dog pens is far enough away that skittish little dogs are not affected. The park had at least one trash can overturned on the Saturday I visited. Another guest advised that maintenance had declined since she had been coming.
