Children's Memorial Dog Park

I took my two dogs there one time and I will never go back. I took them to the little dog side because they are not that big. The people on the little dog side started complaining that they are over 25lbs. My female dog is over weight at 35lbs but she is a cairn terrier! She would get killed in the big dog park. My other one is really tall but he only weighs 30lbs. They didn't have any really big dogs in the big dog park so I took them over to that side. A little while later this pack of Pitt bulls come in and start getting in to fights with other dogs. I took my dogs back to the little dog side and the people on the little dog side told me that my dogs started that fight on the other side. The thing is my dogs were no where near that fight. I took them out of there the minute it got bad. If you are looking for a good dog park, go to the park across the bridge. That park has the best people and they have well behaved dogs there.

I went to the Childrens Memorial Dog park and it was DISGUSTING!!! The only thing green on the ground were the weeds. Smelled of poop and poop EVERYWHERE. Fountain clogged & molded over. I wouldnt recommend this park to animal or human!!!
It should be closed.

I wish people would just follow the rules keep their big dogs in the big dog park. those of us with small dogs do not desire having them mauled by your large 60 lbs mutt. It's a shame that animal control or the parks will not enforce the rules. So as city funds dry up you can not expect support from true dog lovers and say goodbye to your nice parks.

I haven't had any problems but the big dog side is rather small. There is lots of shade which is good during summer

First of all this is a very small park, especially for the large dog side- the small dog side is almost double the size. Second of all there were very strange people that attend the park with aggressive dogs. I brought my own ball and had three dogs steal it throughout my time at the park.
