PROBLEM WITH THIS PARK IS JUST TO SMALL NO ROOM IT IS ALL ONE AREA NO SEPRATE RUNS FOR LARGE OR SAMLL DOGS THEY HAVE THE ROOM TO EXPANED THE DOG PARK I DO NOT GO THERE I GO TO DESERT BREEZE MORE ROOM FOR DOGS HAS THREE RUNS ONE FOR LARGE DOGS ONE FOR SMALL DOGS AND THE ONE THAT LARGE AND SAMLL DOG ROTATE
A fenced in square, nothing to bark about.....
The sad thing about going to this park, are the, as I call them, the Greyhound Mafia.....
They try and keep people out of the park, and tell people you can't let your dog run.....they arrive in groups, with dogs that bite....they love making up the rules...they around a group of about a dozen....with lots of Greyhounds....
Animal control people are useless, they won't even come out someone or their dogs get bitten....hello? Isn't that their job?
They, (the Greyhound Mafia).... have been *over heard* saying, "isn't it nice we have this park to ourselves.....people see us, and they turn around and leave"....last I checked it's a public park....
They do have one black one, who is a known biter, and has bitten more than once....
It's nice at least that there are a selection of other dog parks to go to...where these irresponsible people don't go.....
We have sent complaints to AC and to the police....it's, obviously not on their top 10 list of things to take care of.....
Appreciate the referral to K-Z Complex!
I echo the review posted by Ms George and will add that my dog AND myself have been bitten and nipped on several occasions by this loosely organized pack of greyhounds. The owners gather en masse and set the rules and dogs (often a dozen dogs) free to dominate a very small dog area. They are inconsiderate owners with a warped sense of entitlement because they "rescued" animals. The problem is that these animals have a strong prey drive and pack mentality which can be a threat to others and their pets. And what about all the "other rescues" that are equally entitled? Animal control would respond not to reports. (Pretty poor AC in this town...) In visiting surrounding area parks, we've heard countless comments about "the greyhound park?...we stopped going...those people are awful..." Visitor be warned!
This is the worst dog park in town. There is tons of poop everywhere, everyday. Poop in the dog run and in the park, everywhere. Plus there is a group of Greyhound owners, who think they own the place. And will try to enforce their rules on you and your dog... no running, no playing, etc. I take my dog to the dog park to Play and Run. I am tired of the Greyhound owners trying to tell me what my dog can do and not do. I take my dog to a dog park so she can have some fun and get excercise...NOT to sit next to me on a leash, as the Greyhound owners do, ( their dogs are not allowed to run and play). They need to keep their dogs at home. I will not be taking my dog they again. The Greyhound owners don,t even like the idea of people showing up with thei kids to play in the park area. There is something wrong with these people:(
If you are friendly and have a nice dog, go to the dog park at Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex about 1 1/2 miles from here....
now that's a dog park!!!
