Walked outside perimeter which is 0.8 miles in bigger area. There is a smaller area which I have not been in. I walked a total of 1.3 miles and was never on the same trail. Lots of open grassy fields w stands of trees, out house in parking area, several picnic tables right inside double entrance gate. Paths are 4 foot wide mowed grass so you could walk w your whole family hand in hand.
When I was out here 2 weeks ago there where lots of mud puddles. As of today 97% of park is mud free. There are a couple of spots that look like they hold eater year round if your up for your dog coming out looking like the swamp creature
This park makes for happy 4 leggers. Well worth the 20 min drive down hiway 55 from Plymouth.
My first time at the park was today and it was GREAT! This park has a different pace compared to other parks where there is not too many people here and the trails are further from each other making long walks fantastic. There is a restroom on site but it is just a glorified biffy, bags are available at the front and that is also where the only garbages are too. Make sure you watch the gates because some are broken or not even attached (internal gates separating one area from another, your dog can not escape to the road or anything). It is winter now and that is the only time I have been to this park but the trails are groomed nicely but make sure you wear boots as the snow off the beaten path is quite deep. I noticed that when my dogs did see another dog while crossing paths they instantly wanted to play because people and dogs are scarce. Really the only downfall is the sounds of the trains going by which happened twice during my visit.
This park is now all fenced in and it is great! The dogs love the tall grass, the trails, the play areas. The people at this park are friendlier than any other park I have been to. I go almost everyday and see the same great people and wonderful dogs there on most days.
