Not a good dog park
1

There are three hockey rinks, and each rink is supposed to be used by dogs of different sizes, small, medium and large sized dogs. I have been there many times and have only seen one other person using this park, and he didn't like it either. There is no where for the dog owners to sit and watch their dogs. There is no shade, so on a warmer day the dogs just run around the grass in the rinks and get hot, I usually don't stay long. The medium sized dog and large sized dog rinks are always full of water and muddy, so I use the small sized dog rink, that is supposed to be used by 20 and under dogs. My dog is 25 lbs and even he can crawl under the holes in the fence. Blaine should definitely create a real dog park like Trackside in Coon Rapids or Locke in Fridley.

Good for what it is

I just live up the block from this park and see people there from time to time. I go to the Fridley dog park most of the time but when I can't make it there I go up to the rinks and my dog can blow off some steam, with the summer sun we don't last to long because of no shade. It would be nice for Blaine to build a full blown dog park like in Fridley and other cities. Something with shade, maybe a trail or two and places for the humans to sit and enjoy watching the dogs play.
