All dogs must be spayed or neutered and current on their Rabies, Distemper-Parvo, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccinations and fill out an application. There are a few posted areas that require a leash but otherwise this is off leash and fenced fun.

This is a great place to take your dog if you are worried that they
will not come back. The park is small enough that is easy to keep track of your dog, but big enough for your dog to get a lot of
exercise. The fences are well maintained and there are some very
pretty views.
I truely dont even want to give this place even one star to be completely honest with the way we were treated. I was even told by Dalia that if I didnt like it, "then go to Pete & Macs"! Wow great customer service guys. If you are treating customers like this what are you doing to our dogs?
Even though this is a smaller, family owned dog park, it has nice open fields and wooded areas for dogs to explore. There are fewer dogs here at a time than at larger parks, like Shawnee Mission Park, which is good for dogs to socialize. The dog owners at this park are generally more responsible in handling their animals than at the large parks too. Swanson's is good for puppies or dogs who are still learning to follow their humans' commands (stay, wait, etc.) since the fences are maintained very well and the dogs can't run too far away. This park is a great option for travelers who might need to give their dog a bath if the dog gets too dirty during his visit as the doggie daycare has a bath area inside. Visitors who do not want to buy a month long trail pass can enjoy the park for only $1 per visit. You just have to arrive during the daycare's business hours.
The doggie daycare and boarding facility is very nice, and the staff is wonderful. The dogs at daycare get multiple play times outside in a large fenced area that is supervised by staff. Our dog really enjoys the classes she's taken here too, including obedience, agility and flyball. We'd recommend this dog park to anyone.
I was not sure of this place when I saw it was a family operated business. I regret ever being skeptical. The fact that this place is family owned, makes it the best of its kind! They truly treat your pet as if it was your own!
What a wonderful facility and staff! The dogs actually get to go outside, unlike a lot of other daycares. I can't say enough about the wonderful, caring staff. My dog loves going here.
The service at Swanson's was excellent - friendly staff, clean facilities - I will definitely be bringing my dog for a return visit!!
