fabulous trees in two runs of three at this nice park

Nice park for big dogs - two large areas full of gorgeous old oak trees give big dogs plenty of shade. There is a small dog run too, and 90% of it is in the unrelenting Florida sun. The small dog area boasts more grass than the other two areas - grass doesn't grow well in the shade! Water hoses and bowls provided, and an artificial wood plank deck by the hose insures a cleanish place to hose off your dog if necessary. Like many Clearwater dog parks, the bag dispensers are filled with recycled bags brought by dog owners - make sure you have one for your dog cleanup, in case the dispensers are empty. Two things unique (in my experience) about this park: the entry pen is large, with one gate to the rest of this county park and one gate to each fenced dog run. You have to be sure when coming and going no one escapes! Also, trash cans are provided, but they are in the entry/exit pen. My dogs don't like it if I go out the gate without them, so I ended up holding a bag of poo for way longer than I would prefer.

Eagle Lake Park

Stopped by this park, its ok if you have a large dog because it has 2 large wooded lots of big trees fenced in areas for large dogs only, but if you have a small dog like we do you're going to be disappointed, 1 small dog area, no trees except for one hanging over the fence, just a small open field nothing of any interest to you or your dog, very boring.
