Somewhat pathetic...

We were underwhelmed by the experience at this park. It's basic and fenced and has water for the dogs. The rest of the park is off limits even to dogs on-leash, as is the river park to the south. Luckily, the Key Vista Nature area is friendly for dogs on leash. It has watering stations and bags and is quite beautiful. Save yourself the regret and go directly to Key Vista, as we will be doing in the future.

not a good place to go if you have a large dog and a small dog. The dog owners that frequent the park seem to have their own set of rules and sit idol as the dogs try to play around lawn chairs crowded in the center. Also not a good place for pit bulls or pit mixes. Some of the regulars are afraid of the "vicious" breed.I will be finding an more suitable situation for my pets.

Good dog park

This dog park is sufficient for dogs to get their energy out. It is often quite crowded. The small dog side is very grassy with sandy paths on the sides from pups running the fence. The large dog sides is more sandy with some grassy areas. There is water available for drinking and rinsing your dog off. They have recently implemented a $2 fee per day or $60 per year for use of this county park. There is almost no walk from the car to the off-leash area.

I don't know where these

I don't know where these photos were taken or how old they are, but on Sunday I went to this 'dog park' and all I could see were the signs saying 'No Dogs Allowed' 'No Dogs Beyond This Point'. The 'dog park' if you want to call it that is pathetic, don't waste your time.

great park next door

I have not been to this dog park but I do frequent the park next door. The Key Vista Park does not have a fenced dog area but dogs are welcome. There is access to the gulf with a nice long beach to walk. It's never very busy and although dogs should be leashed the park staff seem to stay off the back end of beach. My dogs get to swim there once a week.

EDITOR COMMENT: we do not endorse illegal off leash use and you may get a ticket.
