Poinciana Neighborhood Dog Park

The park is pretty good size to have the pups stretch their legs. There's access to water and shade. Lots of benches to sit at as well.

This beautiful little community park sits off an industrial highway at the edge of a working class neighborhood. It's got all the amenities dogs need, including water, stocked waste bags, etc. Plus, there are plenty of shade trees and walkways lined with benches that face each other, which fosters a community feel for the humans who accompany them.

Even though there's a tiny area for small dogs, it seems this was more of an afterthought, and no one really uses it. Most (but not all) of the bigger dogs have responsible owners who won't allow their pets to bully smaller pups, so it works out fairly well for all dogs to use the much larger main area.

One more thing to consider is that, while the setting is fairly serene, this is an urban park, and staying here too late in the evening is not recommended as it abuts a sidewalk on Dixie Highway which is a route to a known drug corner after dark.
