This is the best dog park I've ever been to. I took my two small dogs (one is a 10 lb yorkie who doesn't really like other dogs, and my 20 lb dog and they LOVED it! specific area for small dogs so I didn't have to worry about my yorkie. all the dogs were very friendly and the people too! will definitely go again.
Nice spacious park for your dogs to run around and play! Two areas, one for smaller dogs and one for large.
Nice shaded areas with tables for you to sit or beautiful big trees to
let your pet rest under.
Bring water bowls to fill for your
Dog at the multiple fill stations.
2 more important tips: bring cash for the ice cream vending machine on the way out and clean up after your pet and pick up all poop and dispose! :D
The park is beautiful! My dog loves the exercise equipment. Both the small and large dog areas have a great size, shady trees and benches. The view of the Everglades is spectacular, especially at sunset. I love the lobby area at the entrance. You can hose your dog off when leaving or take the leash off before going into the actual dog park area, without all the other doggies jumping all over you and your dog. If it wasn't for the 45 minute trip I have to make from Miami, I would go every day!
Well maintained park with a section each for large and small dogs. Waste bags are provided, as well as water fountains, doggie showers, and benches/shelters.
This is a beautiful park that is free during the week. I was visiting from Central Florida and decided to give it a try. I was SHOCKED at all the dog poop. No one picked up after their pets. On my second visit, I personally picked up two full bags of poop (not looking for a medal, just hoping others would catch on) and there were still TONS of poop. I mean, how hard is it to pick up after your own dog? Bags are provided as was a scoop and people just stood around and let their dogs do their business wherever. Shame on you, South Florida!
What a wonderful park that everyone in the South Florida should experience! The only problem is that it's so far west in Broward that most people in the tri-county area will find it's not worth the hike. If you do make the trip, though, you can expect a clean, spacious environs with all the amenities you need to make your trip to the park an easy one.
There are separate areas for large and small dogs, and in this park even the small dog area has room to run. And the big dog area is quite open, with some shade trees here and there, with doggy exercise equipment scattered along a paved pathway. This place shines at sunset, as it abuts the open marshland of the Everglades and skies free of the city's light pollution to the west.
One of the unique features of this park is the entrance (lobby) area. Even this space is large, and there is a spot for washing down your dogs before getting back into the car for your (long) ride home.
