Poor conditions

If you like dirt, water, debris, and the lack of care, this is the park for you. The city claims the budget does not allow for improvements, however, the budget does contain finances for maintaining Town Center. At least 50 acres of lawn, shrubbery, and sprinkler systems for a total of maybe 6 businesses. How about not digging up the sidewalks for one summer or the medians and spend the money on some sod for dog park. Maybe even contact a local landscape company and work a deal for some sod for advertising!!! Not unique ideas, but maybe the adminstration should think creative financing for the park. Let's not forget about access for ths handicapped, lots of debris on the sidewalk, and the possibility of falling of the cement slab under the gazebo.

Not bad. waste of taxes

The dog park is nice. However the recent updates to the park really was a waste of taxes. The park should have remained closed after the fresh sod was put down. The dog park is all sand again and dogs leave extremely dirty. There usually are a few dogs at the park at any given time but the early evenings are crowded. This is a plus so us humans can socialize our dogs. Be warned some owners are there to only socialize and dont watch their dogs. So some dogs snap at others. Otherwise a nice dog park with water fountains and trees. Nice size for larger dogs to run and play. There is a small area for little dogs. The entire parking fenced in and has benches for humans (and dogs).

A good play area for everyone

A lot of people and pets use this park so there is a lot of sand where there used to be grass. Some people take picnics and make an afternoon of it with their dogs. I have seen as many as 20 dogs here at a time, which is a lot for our area. Afternoons are busiest. Although the park has hours, it always seems to be open, even before 7 a.m and after dark. There is a kid's playground, tennis courts, and a picnic pavillion right next to the dog park.
