I am so excited that there is such a beach place for my pet. I live in Orlando and will make the drive to Ft Lauderdale just to give Jaz a chance to have fun and socialize. I don't even mind the fee. Too Bad we don't have something like this up here.

Living in an apartment makes it hard to find a place where my dog can swim, something she loves to do. I googled dog beaches and came upon Canine Beach in Fort Lauderdale. It's about a 40 minute drive from where I live, but SO WORTH IT!  She had a blast. All of the dogs are off leash and are allowed to run around and play in the waves.  Theres a security guard on the beach just to make sure everything is ok and to hand out baggies for accidents. Tons of playful dogs and dog friendly people. My Nikki loves saying hi to every one and no one got upset.  The waves were a bit rough for a novice, but she enjoyed herself!  Its also really neat to see some of these dogs just ride the waves or dive straight in.  It was clean and a very friendly place.  I'll be going back every weekend! Hope to see you there!
