Barnum dog park

Love this place, been going for years. Only issue is the parking lot is a drug dealing and drug using haven. Won't go after dark. The police need to crack down on the trash using the parking for their drug dealing. Generally no issue with dogs, bunch of regulars. Well kept park great views of downtown. Ranger patrols now and again and issues fines for dogs outside of off leash area. Sadly the lake is filthy, and I won't let mine swim in it.

not to mention...

Tons of benches and shade for people, too!

fun place, fun dogs, nice setting

This is a fun little park, nicely kept and all sand. Dogs are always having fun here and it's cute too. Also they have 2 separate fenced areas and water fountains for humans and dogs. My only warnings would be: it is right next to the train tracks, so there will be on occasion a loud noise/train passing (though this does not bother me at all), and water has not yet been turned back on for the season? When will the water fountains be turned back on? Water is not yet running (4/24/12)...

Friendly, busy, big area

Went about 5 pm and there were about 10 dogs who showed up. Nice fencing, big separate areas for big and small dogs.

We love this Dog Park!!!

Our baby loves going there and it has a great space to play with your dog!!! The only thing I would say that I don't like about it is the fact that there is no water during the winter, so just bring a bowl of water and the problem is solved! ;-)

don't bother!

I have never seen so many dogs fights at any other park. They have re-done the surface to dirt recently and is much nicer! I have been bitten once here and my puppy has been attacked several times. This park has been written off my list permanently!
