This is a sad little park. Even though it's right by our house we won't be going back. It's full of thorny plants and fire ants. The thee times we've gone our only company has been the crying animals at the shelter. Just a little bit of TLC could make this a nicer park, but it's clearly an after thought.
Apparently the thorn problem has not gone away. It is a sad sad park.
Good place to go for a convenient, off-leash walk with your BDF (best dog friend).
Completely fenced. Shade trees, park benches. Has had mulch added. They have monthly cleanup event. Interesting mix of people.
Broken glass, possibly poisionous mushrooms. Not a whole lot of room to run. Not a positive expirience and will not be going back.
I was just over there yesterday and the employees at the shelter informed me that this park is closed for now while they deal with the thorn problem.
