Stairs opened

There was a new path reconstructed in 2011 and beach access isnow much easier. The stairs were closed because the cliffs washed out (9/2008).

Esplanade Beach - CURRENTLY CLOSED!

We took our dogs yesterday 9/21/08 and the stairs are closed due to the cliffs being washed out.  Two blocks back in front of the post office there is a way to get down, but it's steep and slippery and they probably don't want you getting up and down that way.  Once access is available it is a great place to walk and let your dogs run.  Our girls have a great time and are exhausted and happy for days.
