As the owner of a small dog, I am always struggling to find a dog park with a large space for small dogs. Unfortunately, like most parks, the small dog side was far too little for the number of dogs there - and that was on a Tuesday, mid-afternoon... I can't even begin to imagine how stuffed the yard would have been on a Saturday. The yard is pitted and the grass isn't in very good shape, which was a shame because the large dog side was well-groomed with mulch instead of grass. There was ample water and the area was very secure, but for having a small dog that likes to run, I don't think we'll be going back - or if we do, we'll be heading to the large dog side.
Great Park!! I am traveling with my Black Lab/Great Dane puppy (95 lbs at 14 months old!!) and I was looking for a controlled place that I could let him run. This park certainly filled that need. There is a separate area for large and small dogs along with watering stations in each areas. Last year when I was here, this was still under construction. It is great that the local government can set aside some space for our four legged friends to enjoy!!
It is complete except for some benches which are being installed right now. It is open.
As of 3/20/09 park still does not exist. Construction was to start in beginning of March with no prevail..
