This dog park has a separate small dog area, shade, and benches; no grass anymore. Street parking only. As of 2013 this dog park is mostly fenced dirt lots, whereas in 2008 it was rated in the top five must see dog parks nationally by Pedigree.

Well? Silver Lake Dog Park is ok for being in the middle of the city. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. It is all dirt and some trees. There are two areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Parking is hit or miss. We only stayed for a few minutes, even my dog wasn't having that much fun.
Visiting from Vegas, I read about this park how it was rated top 5 in the country and that it was worth coming specially for it's grass turf.... What a disappointment!!! There is absolutely NO grass, only dirt.
I went to this dog park today and there was no grass turf. Im assuming there used to be grass but there no longer is. I was disappointed.
love this place... I especially love the new trees recently planted , and the expansion of the small dog park.
