EDITOR COMMENT: We moved the marker south to the exact park location.
If you call a small corner of the park a small dog area it then has an area for small dogs. It stinks!
The small dog area is a tenth the size of the large dog space.
Park is very large. First poster is just bitter. There are 2 benches with LARGE shade covers and a few other benches. Plenty of balls and water bowls. People and dogs are very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Wood chips keeps the dust down. The other fenced area isn't that small. Good for puppy's and small dogs, but mostly the small dogs run free in the big area with the big dogs. This is the best dog park I have found so far. Love it.
If you're heading south on Golden Lantern it's just after Sardina on the right. It's the second entrance and you will see a big sign that says "Dog Park Parking". It's a big sign and you can't miss it. Don't turn in the first entrance, it's not for cars. If you see the fire station you went to far.
You can enter from the street next to the fire station if you are walking, but there is no place to park there. If you're driving you need to park where it says "Dog Park Parking." The parking lot holds about 25 cars. From there you have to hike up a trail about a 1/2 mile long. It's bark and dirt and pretty wide. Once you get up to the top you're at the dog park. The park is very big, but there are no trees and no grass. If you have a big dog it's ok, but the small dog park is very lame and very small. It's pointless to go if you have a small dog. For big dogs it's only ok if you don't mind standing in the sun and your dog getting dirty. I won't be back. There is no grass.
