Opened in November 2006. This dog park includes Gizmoland Small Dog area. The ground has been covered in wood chips to help reduce mud. JMPDog supports this park. DO NOT ENTER the dog park if the gates are left wide open - this means the dog park is closed and if you use it they will shut the park down permanently.

If you like a place with lots of dogs at any given time, then this park may not suit you, but the dogs and dog owners that do use the park are great (quality over quantity). Our small to medium size dog makes friends easily in either the small or large dog sections. It is a little further to drive than a couple other parks close to us, but it is well worth it.
This park while very nice, may not appeal to everyone. I happen to like it because it has an ample sized section for small dogs (Gizmoland) and big dogs. And I can take my little dog to Gizmoland without having to deal with crowds. The pluses are that the surroundings are nice, quiet and there are lots of trails to walk on (on-leash) if you get tired of the dog park. The downsides for some may be the bark chips on the ground instead of grass (although my dog got used to it and enjoys chasing lizards in the dead trees). Gizmoland seems to get very little use so it may not be the best place to socialize your little dog. The big dog side seems to have a steady flow of people and dogs. If you have a senior dog or one that is skittish, Gizmoland may be a good place to introduce them to dog parks.
