I used to go to this park twice a day but stopped due to several dog fights and my pitbulls being ganged up on by other dogs. The owners seem to enjoy the social aspect more than their dogs do. No one supervises their dogs and don't ask about them cleaning up after the dogs. It does not happen because people don't watch their dogs because they are too busy talking. It is a dog park not a social club. Oh yeah and most of the people there are always better than you it seems.
People dont watch there dogs. my dog got attacked going into the gate. the owner of the dog that attacked my dog just said your dog most of done something. which really made me mad. Owners there just let there dogs do whatever they want. no supervision at all. Really dirty park.
go to reid park.
Dangerous due to owners not paying attention to their pets. There are a group of people there who seem to think their dogs can do whatever they want. Remove the people the dogs will be fine! We are not going back.
I use to take my dog to this park between 2005-2007. This is a great park for dogs and their owners. There is plenty of green grass, water buckets for drinking (for dogs of course), a kiddy pool and ramada seating.
When my Boxer was about 7 months I took him here and he was chased around the park by two dogs, in fact his ear was slightly torn from the event. I don't blame the dogs as much as I blame the inconsiderate owners for not stopping them until I was able to grab my dog and leave. I still continued to take my dog there along with my roommate and her dog. They LOVED IT! For the most part my experience has been good with the park, but I did stop taking my dog there after this crazy lady hit my dog TWICE for playing with her large breed dog. When I ran to my dogs and to confront her she told me that my dog was dangerous (my dog is usually the dog that could care less about other dogs and just liked to hang around the people). I told her that if she ever touch my dog again that there would be a big problem. Everyone else in the park agreed with me saying that my dog had done nothing wrong as I walked out of the park.
I occasionally will take my dog back to this park but am just wary of dog owners who think they don't need to monitor their dogs when they are there.
dangerous because people have been knocked down by dogs here, two women have been hurt with a broken ankle and a broken knee.
people dont watch their dogs.
