you're mistaken

The Rita Ranch baseball diamonds are used year round for Spring Baseball season as well as Fall Baseball season. There are only aboutr 7 weeks out of the year that the fields are not booked for games or practices and those are the times you can find high schoolers and families playing kickball, homerun derby, etc on the safe, secure, and beautiful fields that are maintained by Rincon Little League volunteers in cooperation with the Parks Department. You have a good point that we need a Dog Park in Rita Ranch and Purple Heart Park has plenty of land for it. However, bashing the validity of existing recreational facilities used year round is probably not going to get it done. Try writing our Ward 4 representative, Shirley Scott, she is amazing!!!!ward4@tucsonaz.gov

Happy the city finally built a dog park close to Rita Ranch. Although, it would be even nicer if the city gave up building baseball diamonds (that are used in the summer time only at Rita Ranch) and the city were to build a dog park for the many animals that live in and around Rita Ranch to cut down on the driving here and there to take their animals to a park. After all, DOGS and CATS are also family and need a place to exercise like the KIDS.

It was clean and very lovely. It is the nicest park I have found.

a bit grim

This one is dusty and grass-free and not much fun. There is no shade to speak of, just a few young trees. We spent about five minutes here and then went back to Miko's Corner Playground. - Karen
