We made our second visit to

We made our second visit to the Bark Park in Show Low yesterday, October 1, 2011. There was a dog show going on, so the park was well used and appreciated. We took Darbie, one of our four West Highlanders...for his "Special Day" away from his pack/family. There were at least 15 dogs at the park & all visited and got along beautifully. Darbie had been a puppy mill dog. He is extremely good natured after having spend his first 9 months in a cage without knowing his name, nor having human contact/affection etc... He came into his own meeting so many other dogs including another westie! Thank you for providing this park.

Westie's Visit to Bark Park 9-27-11

We made our first visit to Show Low's "Bark Park" with ONE of our west Highland Terriers on September 26, 2011. I can't imagine why anyone would complain and not rave about the park. It gave me a good opportunity to "walk for exercise" while Westie got to explore on his own without the restriction of a leash. There were three bowls of fresh water out for dogs that visited the park. We have over an acre of lawn and a fenced in area that is like a dog Disneyland (locally), but we will be back with all four of our westies, so I can walk and they can run free. The park is a great asset to the area. Thank you. Joy

Great Park!

We went up to the Show Low area to get away from the Phoenix area heat. We saw there was a dog park here and stopped... twice! We went there when we arrived, then stopped there again on our way back. Awesome park. Is very, very large, has a lot of variable terrain so the dogs can explore wooded areas, hilly areas, grassy areas, etc. Lots of nice picnic tables to sit at. My husky and husky mix LOVE this park and highly recommend it!

Duece of dogs is a fairly

Duece of dogs is a fairly nice park. However there is no grass so the dogs get very dirty from playing and if rains it gets very muddy. They have a fountain in the entry area but remove it in the winter.
