Relating to no various dog leisure areas to compare that one to (in Anchorage) but I thought it had been very great. It's 03, so there is still snow and also lake was frozen. dog kennel
We used to take our dogs here when we lived in Eagle River but moved to NM. We are returning to ER in Aug and look forward to this park. This is the nicest of all dog parks in Anchorage. Wooded trails, playing in the lake, large field area and a great size. It takes about 30 mins to walk around park if done leisurely. We even went mtn biking in the back side of wooded trails and dogs had a blast! Can't wait to go back!
Thanks for sharing! Me and my dog were having hard times searching for a place to walk and play with other dogs in the neighborhood, this one seems really nice and picturesque. My dog loves swimming and the lake will definitely be a big surprise for him :)

Yesterday was the first day I have visited this park together with my dog. This place is absolutely awesome! My pet had great fun running everywhere without restriction and playing with other dogs. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place!

Today was our first day. What a GREAT Park!! The dogs and people were all well behaved. I did'nt see a need for a fence between the soccer fields and the dog park, however there were no kids playing soccer either.
Again, WHAT A GREAT PARK!!!!!!
Pleasant and pretty. Enjoyed the scenery. Did encounter 2 native Alaskans who were somewhat enebriated and loud. Enjoyed the stream and lake but mosquitos were bad in late June.
I have no other dog parks to compare this one to (in Anchorage) but I thought it was very nice. It's March, so there's still snow and the lake was frozen. There were 2 moose there too. There are several different trails you can take and a bridge that goes over a creek and many of the trails lead out into fields wide enough to play ball and frisbee in. Most of the dogs are well behaved and the ones that aren't so much were on leashes. Most of the areas of the park are far away from roads too. We will go again. Met alot of fellow dane owners as well!
very nice clean park to bring your Dogs. We brought ours and they loved it. If you are thinking about going its a must. Any time of day theirs lots of People and lots of dogs for your dog to play with. I recommend it.
We love it the best dog park we have been to in a ong time.
Very nice park. There are usually a lot of dogs there to play with. Just watch out for the beavers!
With or without the dogs it is a great place to streach your legs! Even better if your riding a mountian bike. Small trails wander off the main strip makes it seem larger than possible in the middle of Anchorage.
I was impressed with the size of the park. I like that it is surrounded by forest, and has a stream and a lake for the dogs to enjoy. It would be nice to have some benches. Great park!
