To my three good Samaritans

Yesterday, I stupidly let my 2 dogs out of the dog park, off-leash, as I have always done. Since they have always followed me to the car, I believed I didn't have to worry. However, this time both of them took off for Otter Lake Rd and I couldn't stop them. They both nearly got hit multiple times. In fact if it weren't for Celeste Knipping, one of our park Guardians,  and 2 gentlemen Samaritans, I wouldn't have caught them, and they would have continued to dodge traffic on Otter Lake Rd until they were hit.

So, first, Thank You to three of you. I can't say that enough. Thanks for responding to my screams and saving my dogs. Celeste, I can't even imagine how you made it to the road that fast, but I'm grateful you did. Thanks for leashing them up and helping me get them back to the car.

To the gentleman who followed her, thank you for helping us get them back and for feeling that "we dog owners have to stick together".

And to the gentleman in the blue truck, thank you for blocking Bailey's body with your truck, and jumping out to grab Jasmyn. I don't know what else I can say but Thank You.

Secondly, please, please, please learn from my mistake, and keep your dogs on leash until inside the park or your vehicle. I know I will never make that mistake again.

Weekend Playtime

Thanks for the reminder Catherine. Thank goodness no one got hurt!
Will Dozer, Wilson or Buddy be at the park this weekend? I'd like to get Carly the German Shepherd back going on a regular basis again and she seems to not do her charging routine so much if dogs she's familiar with are there.
Also I'd be willing to take Snickers in for a month or two, Carly would think she's in heaven. I regularily take in friends dogs when they are traveling or other Shepherds from the GSD club for a week or two. I have a very large fenced in yard. Carly gets along with anyone in her home & loves dog company.
